Woolworths

As the last customer left the shop there were tears amogst the staff as the doors were looked to the customers of woolworths for the last time. 

It may have been to late for woolworths in Newbury to be saved but there may be hope for at least 150 other stores to be brought by a former woolies Executive(Tony page) for £30million! If he manages to seal the deal staff at an Oxford branch said 'We'd work for nothing until Tony could get things up and running again.'

All 27,000 people may loose their jobs if a last minute deal is not completed.

Administrators have now pushed back closure dates on some stores to late next week.
