Thames Valley Police is appealing for information following the theft of some copper piping from an industrial site.
The pipes were taken from the exterior refrigeration unit of Thatcham Butchers, in Arnhem Road, Newbury, between 1.30 pm on 12 June and 6pm on June 13.
PC Daniel Hatfield, from Newbury police station, said: “The offenders caused considerable damage to the refrigeration unit and gas pipes in removing the copper piping.
“The pipes are easily identifiable as they have serial numbers on the side. I would appeal for anyone with any information about this incident or the whereabouts of the piping to contact me as a matter of urgency.
“Since the theft, security has been improved on the site and neighbouring businesses have been informed of the incident.”
