Women dies after being hit by a lorry on the A339

A women has died today(18/06) after being hit by a lorry on the A339 through Newbury.

The accident happend on the southbound carrigeway, near the Robin Hood Roundabout.

Ambulace crews were alerted at 7:18am & police arrived moments later & closed the road until 11am.

The pedestrian, a woman in her fifties, from the Newbury area has died as a result of her injuries.
