Thames Valley Police officers remain at the scene of a collision in which a female pedestrian died.
The incident happened at around 6.30am today (2/7) on the A34 before the top of the hill at Enborne on the southbound carriageway, when the pedestrian was involved in a collision with a white Leyland DAF lorry carrying a blue Portacabin.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The A34 southbound is currently closed from the junction at Speen to the Wash Common section. The road remains closed, and motorists are advised to avoid the route if possible and to follow the diversions that are in place.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision, and would particularly like to speak to the driver of a white Scania articulated lorry that was parked in the lay-by adjacent to the crash site just prior to the incident and may have witnessed the collision.

The incident happened at around 6:30am today (2/7) on the A34 before the top of the hill at Enborne on the southbound carriageway, when the pedestrian was involved in a collision with a lorry.
The A34 southbound is currently closed from the junction with the A4 to the Wash Common section. The road is expected to remain closed for several hours and motorists are advised to avoid the route if possible and follow the diversions that are in place.
