John Williams, Chair of Governors said: "The Governing Body is immensely proud of this achievement. To come out of special measures in such a short period of time, and as a good school, is tribute to the hard work that everyone has put in over the past year. The Governors are confident that the school can now go on to even bigger and greater things."
Val Houldey, Executive Head said: "It has been hugely exciting and rewarding to work with such a fabulous group of children and such committed staff and governors. This pace of change has only been achieved by an exceptional amount of hard work."
Alison Millar, Associate Head said: "When one of the Downs School pupils asked me what I was going to do at the primary school I told him that we were going to make it an outstanding school - we are on the way to doing that. It has been a privilege to work alongside staff, governors, children, and of course parents who all have the same aim. The hard work will continue so that the children of Compton get the very best education possible."
