A French Market will be trading in the Market Place, Newbury on Friday 6th May and on Saturday 7th May. This will be in addition to our famous Charter Market as usual.
This is a wonderful opportunity to visit our traditional Charter Market and our French Market for some lovely Springtime shopping.
Come and say “Bonjour” to the French Market, which will be selling a variety of goods including:

- Cheese from France
- Provencal soaps
- Leather handbags
- Jewellery
- Saucisson & Pate from Normandy
- Confectionery from Montelimar
- Wooden toys and basketwork
The market operator is Muriel Charles and both she and all of her traders cordially invite you to join them and enjoy some traditional French shopping.
Trading hours will be from 9am – 5pm.
