Tesco Newbury has submitted a planning application to West Berkshire Council to install 2, 10.6 metre high micro wind turbines, although they are wind turbines they are not the traditional style.

The wind turbines are part of a £100 million project to invest in renewable energy across the Tesco stores. One turbine will be located in the far corner of the car park near the old recycling centre & the 2nd turbine will be located near the 'new' electronic recycling centre.
