Theft of badges from vehicles Newbury

Police are appealing for witnesses after 27 vehicles were damaged and the manufacturers badges stolen from the car park of Quantel in Newbury overnight on Thursday (16/4 -17/4).

The vehicles were mainly BMW and Mercedes.

Samantha Dunbar, Case Investigator, said: “I believe two youths may have been in the area at 10.20pm on 16 April and they may have left via Turnpike Road. Did you see them in the area at this time, or any other time last Thursday or Friday?

“I’d like to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious. If anyone offers one of these badges for sale, you should contact police.”

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact police via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505. You can also speak to one of your neighbourhood policing team on the same number.
