West Berkshire Council is urging local businesses to explore the opportunities offered by London 2012 . . .
Contracts worth a thousand pounds upwards are being won by small businesses from all sectors on the Compete4website at www.competefor.com. This website gives unique access to 2012 contracts.
To help boost the chances of successfully bidding for one of these supply chain contracts, Business Link is holding a free Fit2Supply workshop on 13th May 2009. This will be held at the Holiday Inn, Reading. The event will outline what businesses will have to do to become 'Fit2Supply'.
Councillor Pamela Bale, Deputy Leader of West Berkshire Council said "50,000 contracts will be procured through the 2012 supply chain and West Berkshire Council is keen to encourage businesses to reap the benefits from potential London 2012 contracts."
