Newbury Berkshire: Help for employees and employers in West Berkshire experiencing redundancy

Help for employees and employers in West Berkshire experiencing redundancy

The West Berkshire Partnership's Skills and Enterprise Sub-Group have developed comprehensive guidance for businesses and employees experiencing redundancy

Developed with contributions from a range of organisations across the District, the four-page flyer outlines how Business Link, Job Centre Plus, Newbury College, Nextstep, the Continuing Employment Support Service, West Berkshire Training Consortium, Careers Springboard West Berkshire and New Directions can help employees and businesses access advice and support.

The information will be distributed as widely as possible so that employers have easy access to the information and advice they need.

Anne Murdoch, Chairman of the West Berkshire Partnership's Skills and Enterprise Sub-Group said: "There are a range of organisations on the Skills and Enterprise Sub-Group which are able to offer help to those experiencing redundancy. If this information helps one person who has been made redundant to take advantage of the support that is available it will have been worth it."

The leaflet is also available to download on the Dealing with the Economic Downturn section of the West Berkshire Council website.
