Police are appealing for witnesses after a 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in an alleyway in Newbury on Monday (16/3).
At around 7.10pm a girl who was dressed in her school uniform was walking along an alleyway which runs from Victoria Park to the Robin Hood roundabout when she was grabbed by a man and assaulted.
The offender is white, around 35-years old, 5ft 6ins and of stocky build. He is bald and has a small triangular goatee beard. He was wearing a blue and red hooped polo shirt.
Det Con Stephen Brown from Newbury CID said: “I am keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the girl in the area before or after the incident or who recognises anyone matching the description of the offender. The victim was not injured in the assault but was left very shaken”.
