Police are appealing for witnesses to an aggravated burglary in Newbury on Friday (13/3).
Three men, armed with various tools including a meat cleaver, forced their way into a property in Windsor Court, on Kings Road, at around 8.35pm.
A 45-year-old man was then pinned to the floor before the offenders escaped with an unknown quantity of cash.
No-one was injured in the incident but the 45-year-old man was treated for shock.
Det Con John Yallop, from Newbury CID, said: “We have spoken to witnesses who saw the offenders getting into a silver Vauxhall Astra with what is believed to be a partial number plate of T151 or T115. We are obviously very keen to trace this vehicle.
“Two of the men had their faces covered or were wearing balaclavas, but the third offender didn’t and he is described as being of mixed race.
“I am keen to speak to anyone who has any information about this incident and would urge them to contact me urgently.”
Anyone with any information should contact Det Con Yallop via 0845 8 505 505.
Alternatively, if you do not want to speak to police or leave your name, please call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
