Residents should be aware that due to the upcoming Bank Holiday, there will be temporary changes to waste collections.
Geoff Findlay, West Berkshire's Executive Member for the Environment and Waste said, "By collecting waste just a day later around these bank holidays, we avoid the inconvenience of storing waste for up to two weeks that residents previously experienced. "
Tracey Reilly, General Manager for Veolia Environmental Services in West Berkshire said, "Residents should be aware that around any Bank Holidays, their collection day is likely to temporarily change."
These are as follows:
Normal collection day Monday 4 May - will be collected on Tuesday 5 May (one day later)Normal collection day Tuesday 5 May - will be collected on Wednesday 6 May (one day later)
Normal collection day Wednesday 6 May - will be collected on Thursday 7 May (one day later)
Normal collection day Thursday 7 May - will be collected on Friday 8 May (one day later)
Normal collection day Friday 8 May - will be collected on Saturday 9 May (one day later)
