Witness appeal following arrests- Newbury

Police are appealing for witnesses after two boys were arrested in connection with a racially-aggravated incident.
The boys, aged 14 and 15 from Peasemore, Newbury, were arrested in connection with an incident on Monday 20 April, when a 27-year-old man was subjected to racially abusive language near the community centre in Gaywood Drive, Newbury.
On Tuesday 14 April, a 27-year-old man was verbally racially abused in Gaywood Drive, Newbury, and a stone was thrown at him.
On Friday 17 April, between 2pm and 2.30pm, a 27-year-old man was followed around Northbrook Street by a number of youths, aged between 13-18 years old, who used racially abusive language towards him.
Det Con Krista Thompson, who is investigating the incident, said: “There have been a number of reports in the past few days of young people using racially abusive language in this area. This is totally unacceptable – and illegal. We would appeal to anyone who saw this specific incident, or any other racial abuse of this kind, to report it to us.”
